First Capital Cashflow has won a contract to transform Queen’s Park Rangers fans’ experience by offering a cost-effective scheme that saves fans money over the season.

First Capital Cashflow has provided the football club with a unique service that allows QPR to collect supporters’ fees by Direct Debit – something that has never before been available in the club’s history.

Previously the club was offering fans finance via a third-party provider. Since introducing Direct Debit as payment method, the Championship side has already seen a 40 per cent uplift in fans opting to pay for their season ticket through Direct Debit as opposed to financing it through the third-party lender.

Euan Inglis, Commercial Director at QPR, said:

“Before introducing Direct Debit as a payment method, we worked with a third-party lender which was charging fans 16.8% APR on a 10-month plan. Having the ability to offer fans an interest free finance option has been very well received.
“Year-on-year our season ticket uptake has continued to rise and I am positive that the introduction of Direct Debit as a payment method will see these figures increase even further.

“Following the successful introduction of Direct Debit for the 2017/18 season, we are delighted to also announce the launch of the 2017/18 Membership Direct Debit option which automatically opts supporters in for seasonal renewal. This allows members to spread the cost of membership across a period of time, without interest charges.”

Helen Priestman, Commercial Director at First Capital Cashflow, said:

“QPR were new to Direct Debit when they were introduced to First Capital Cashflow. We could provide the club with sponsorship into the Bacs Direct Debit scheme, supplying a unique fully branded service. We are absolutely delighted to establish this mutually beneficial relationship, which has seen a significant rise in QPR’s revenue.”

The First Capital Cashflow service has helped QPR become one of the first Championship clubs to offer Direct Debit as a season ticket payment method.
